The Civil Works Estimator eliminates that bottleneck by combining satellite imagery with AI to automatically measure access routes, classify ground surfaces and generate a full cost breakdown without leaving your desk.

The tool integrates directly into the OSS workflow, auto-populating the estimate from an address or geocoordinate and producing a print-ready PDF quote in seconds.

AI-Powered Surface Analysis

Surface classification is the most time-consuming part of a civil works estimate. Identifying whether a driveway is concrete, tarmac, block paving, or soft dig requires either a site visit or an educated guess — both of which introduce risk.

The Civil Works Estimator sends satellite image of the access route to AI, which analyses the visual texture, colour and pattern of the ground surface along the measured path. It returns a structured breakdown of surface types, estimated metres for each and a confidence rating.

The result is pre-filled into the cost calculator, ready to review. You can click any surface chip to override the metre count if the AI estimate doesn’t match your site knowledge.

Verified By Design

Every AI-generated estimate can be reviewed and manually corrected. Drag either endpoint on the live satellite map, override surface metres and add one-time charges before generating a quote.

1. Automatic Road Snap

Enter any property address or coordinate. We find the nearest public carriageway and measure the straight-line access distance automatically.

2. Building Front Detection

AI analyses the satellite image to identify the front-facing wall of the building — not just the geocoded plot centre — ensuring the measured route starts at the correct point.

3. Manual Route Drawing

For complex access routes, click waypoints directly on the satellite map to trace the exact path. The route can follow driveways, paths, or any non-straight access corridor.

4. AI Surface Classification

We analyse the satellite image along the route and returns a surface-by-surface breakdown with estimated metres and confidence levels for each type.

5. Draggable Endpointsnt

Both the property front point and the highway connection point are fully draggable on the map. Moving either instantly recalculates the route and re-runs surface analysis.

6. Print-Ready Quote

Generate a branded A4 estimate document with satellite image, surface breakdown, full cost line items and auto-generated reference number – ready to attach to a job record.
